Your starting point

An idea to build.
Or an app to move forward.

You do not need every technical answer before we talk. Start with what the app needs to do, or show me where it gets stuck.

01 / For founders

Make version one useful.

Start with one useful customer workflow, such as booking a service, accessing a membership or sharing a plan. Define what the MVP must do and which ideas can wait.

  • A focused mobile MVP for iOS and Android
  • Accounts, connected data and the core user journey
  • Clear scope, deferred features and release criteria
See what we can build

02 / For app owners

Keep the progress. Fix the friction.

Bring the failing flow, build error or feature request. A code review establishes whether a focused fix, dependency update or larger change is appropriate.

  • New features and backend integrations
  • Broken flows, build issues and dependency upgrades
  • Code review before a repair or rebuild decision

The work / RoamLine

In development · Website waitlist open

One shared plan.
Every mile together.

RoamLine is in development for iOS and Android. Its public website accepts waitlist sign-ups. The screenshots are product previews from that website.

A road trip app bringing routes, shared itineraries and expenses into one place. The documented implementation includes ordered trip stops, membership-based access, backend place discovery and directions, and separate expense and settlement records.

A trip as the organising unit

The documented data model keeps ordered stops within a trip, while vehicles, expenses, settlements and tracking sessions have their own records. That gives each part of a journey a clear place in the system.

Access follows membership

Accepted trip membership and roles govern access. An invitation alone does not grant membership, so sharing a plan and authorising access remain distinct steps.

Maps behind a service boundary

Backend services mediate place discovery and directions. Route and suggestion caches are invalidated around edits, keeping route changes connected to the calculations they affect.

Development work and product previews. App-store release, production usage and business outcomes are not established by this example.

Built on good working relationships

Don't just take my word for it.

Clear communication. Thoughtful execution. Clients who come back.

Client feedback from other software projects. RoamLine is a separate project in development.

The scope / Agreed around your product

More than screens.
A connected mobile product.

React Native and Expo for the app. The engineering around it makes the whole journey work—from signing in to a useful result.

01 / React Native + Expo02 / Your APIs + data03 / Tested builds + handover
01

React Native and Expo development

Build shared app flows for iOS and Android: onboarding, navigation, forms and the core customer task. Check platform differences and native-module requirements before choosing the implementation.

02

Existing-app development and fixes

Review your repository, reproduce problems and assess dependencies before proposing changes. Add features, repair broken journeys or plan React Native and Expo upgrades around what already works.

03

Backend and API integration

Connect your existing APIs or build the agreed backend and database. Include authentication, server-side access checks, validation, loading states and useful handling of failed requests.

04

Device and product features

Scope maps, location, camera access or notifications when they support the product. Review permissions, device behavior, privacy requirements and external service costs before committing to them.

05

Testing on iOS and Android

Agree on target devices and OS versions, then test critical journeys, account permissions and failure cases. Check real-device behavior alongside automated coverage where it provides useful protection.

06

Deployment and documented handover

Prepare agreed build profiles, signing and environment configuration in your accounts. Support test distribution and store submission when scoped, then hand over the repository, setup instructions and known issues.

The process

Know the next step.
At every step.

A practical process for a new mobile MVP or an existing app. We agree on the deliverables, estimate and milestones before implementation.

  1. 01

    Discover

    Understand the app

Discuss the users, core task, target platforms and constraints. For an existing app, inspect the repository, reproduce issues and check connected services before recommending work.

  2. 02

    Scope

    Agree the scope

Define essential screens, API contracts, supported devices and acceptance criteria. Record dependencies, deferred features, release responsibilities, milestones and the estimate.

  3. 03

    Build & test

    Build and test

Implement in reviewable steps across the app and backend. Test the agreed flows, access boundaries, permissions and network failures on the target platforms, and review progress together.

You leave withWorking journeys to review
  4. 04

    Release

    Release and hand over

Produce the agreed builds, verify test distribution and support submission if included. Hand over code, configuration guidance, deployment steps and remaining issues; agree on maintenance coverage separately.

Before we start

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Scope, platforms, ownership and what release actually involves.

Can you build a mobile MVP for both iOS and Android?

Yes. We define the essential user journeys and assess which parts can share a React Native codebase. Platform-specific capabilities, target devices and the release scope are agreed before implementation.

Can you work on my existing React Native or Expo app?

Yes, after reviewing the source code, dependencies, connected services and reported issues. I can propose feature work, targeted repairs or an upgrade plan. The review determines what can be retained and what needs changing.

Can you connect the app to my existing backend?

Yes, subject to reviewing the API contracts, authentication and access requirements. The scope can cover existing API integration or new backend endpoints and persistence where required. Credentials and privileged access checks belong on the backend.

Do you use Expo for every project?

Expo is a useful option, but the choice follows the app’s native-module requirements and existing setup. I review device features, build constraints and required SDK compatibility before recommending an Expo or existing React Native workflow.

How much will development cost and how long will it take?

Both depend on the app’s condition, required journeys, integrations, device features and release requirements. We agree on a scoped estimate and milestones after discovery or code review. Store accounts, hosting and third-party services are separate operating costs.

Do you handle testing and app-store submission?

Testing covers the agreed devices, platforms and critical journeys. Build configuration, test distribution and App Store or Google Play submission support can be included in scope. You control the developer accounts; review decisions and approval timing belong to Apple and Google and cannot be guaranteed.

Has RoamLine launched on the app stores?

RoamLine is in development for iOS and Android. Its public website accepts waitlist sign-ups. The screenshots are product previews, and the documented implementation is an engineering example; they do not establish an app-store launch or production user results.

Who owns the code, and what happens after handover?

Your project repository and developer, hosting and service accounts remain under your control. Handover includes the agreed setup and build documentation, configuration guidance and known issues. Third-party licenses still apply, and ongoing fixes, upgrades and support coverage are agreed as part of the engagement.
